From PhD in France to postdoc in Germany: a first-person experience of European research mobility

In 2023 I defended my PhD in environmental geography in France, that same year I settled in Germany to start a postdoc. Language, housing, academic culture, employment conditions: there were many ups and downs. This seminar aims at sharing my personal experience but also tries to place it inside the bigger picture of European research mobility and Germany’s reception of EU researchers.
